My life changed forever back in 2014 after a diagnosis of an Autoimmune disease. In the years that followed I endured unbearable pain, excruciating embarrassment, and the uncertainty of my future. In the beginning I attempted to self-heal. I would try everything within my power to beat this Inflammatory Bowel Disease on my own. Diets, fasts, and drastic lifestyle changes later, I remained a prisoner in my own home. Later I began to journal and take notes of my current symptoms. However, it was not long after that I realized I would need much more than this world could offer. I quickly turned back to the roots of my Christian beginnings. In my youth I had lost my way. In my younger years I knew of Jesus, but I did not understand who He truly is as I do now.

I wasted the riches of my health and strength. Separated by a life of sin I drifted further away. I believed in God, yet I still strayed. I did not know Jesus on a personal level until I lost the strength and health I had. Broken, wretched, flawed, sinful, and by no means perfect, Jesus Christ still reached out to me.

In my wounding I have come to know the hand that has shaped me. The very hand that created the depths of the Earth and stretched out the Heavens. The hand that controls the forces of everything we see and touch. To be broken and refined into something new is precious to me. The way that Jesus has shaped my heart through the process of adversity is something that cannot and will not be forgotten. There is no turning back now, and the only way is forward on this Eternal Road of Glory.

Through the lens of adversity, I now see who Jesus Christ is. Jesus Christ is Salvation. Jesus Christ is deliverance. Jesus Christ is Healing. For he has many names, however the name above all names is Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. My writing began as notes and journaling about how I could help myself changed to notes and journaling about what Jesus Christ has done for me. These are my testimonies of who Jesus Christ the LORD God Almighty is in my life.
